2026 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Yoga or Somatics workshops are a fantastic way to take time to focus on more specific aspects to refine our practice. It is also a work of exploration enabling us to appreciate how our breath, body and mind come together to bring us harmony.
REST & RENEW WITH SOMATICS & RESTORATIVE YOGA
Part 1 Somatics: A gentle practice to release, lengthen, realign and balance the muscles of your front body.
Heaven for tight, rounded shoulders, hyperkyphosis (over rounding of the upper back), shortened hip flexors (from too much sitting for ex.), restricted breathing, stress and anxiety. It also addresses glute and hamstring imbalances. Great to use as a preparation for back-bends.
Part 2 will be a restorative yoga practice, with breathwork and a long restorative savasana.

SOMATICS & YOGA FLOW: FREE THE BACK BODY & RELAX
Part 1 Somatics: A gentle practice to release muscles of your back body.
Heaven for upper and lower back pain, tightness between the shoulder blades, hyperlordosis (over arching of the lower back), hyperkyphosis (over arching of the upper back), sciatica and slipped disc.
Part 2: An Ayurvedic Vata balancing yoga practice where we will explore how to balance Vata, the Air and Ether elements in our body. This practice is suitable for Autumn/Winter when Vata is naturally higher in nature and in our bodies. It also naturally increases as we get older and during times of change or stress. Props: blanket, 2 blocks.
Part 3: We end with breathwork, chanting and yoga nidra, a guided meditation. Yoga nidra, also called yogic sleep, is deeply relaxing. It takes you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, It induces deep relaxation. Research shows that one hour of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to a few hours of sleep.

TOTAL RESET: BREATH, FASCIA, SOMATICS & YIN YOGA
Time to reset and relax... Give yourself the luxury of some "Me" time. Let go of busyness and rushing around. Switch to a state of ease, slowing down, letting go and just being. Come back to yourself. Find calm and stillness in movement. A blend of breathwork, fascia release, Somatics & yin yoga . Come out feeling rested and rejuvenated.
Join us in this beautiful relaxing practice for your body and mind. The focus is on melting tension away, destressing body & mind giving yourselves time and space to heal, reset and recharge your batteries.
We use props like a Pilates ball, a blanket, blocs, eye pillow.

STRENGTH PRACTICE: SOMATICS, PILATES & YOGA FUSION
A fusion of Somatics, Pilates and Yoga. A more dynamic yang approach to include breath work, an introduction to Pilates and yoga. We will look at how to incorporate and amalgamate all three together.
Our focus is on breath, core, alignment, strength. The practice ends with stretching and relaxation.
Feel refreshed, strong, stretched and ready for the day !

AWAKENING & OPENING OUR HEART TO SPRING
Time to re-emerge and reconnect. Join us in this beautiful awakening flow to mobilise and open our body. The focus is on opening our heart, back, chest, shoulders. A blend of yoga and Somatics to open our heart chakra.
This practice includes a breath practice, mantra, positive affirmations, Somatics and yoga movements to lengthen and open our bodies and heart. The heart chakra is the bridge between body and spirit, a symbol of love, joy and serenity. Expect twists and backbends to open, detox and revitalise ourselves. We end with a short heart chakra meditation.

YOGA, CHANTING, MEDITATION: FINDING CALM & STABILITY
Part 1 Breathwork and a gentle Somatics practice to release and relax muscles of our body.
Part 2: A yoga practice flow to balance and energise the body. Props: Pilates Ball, 2 blocks, 1 belt.
Part 3: Intro to chant & meditation, to soothe our nervous system and find calm within. Finish with relaxation.
