Discover & enjoy yoga in nature!
To celebrate Yoga International day, I propose some outdoor yoga in Tunbridge Wells at “The Grove” TN1 1SE a park off Little Mount Sion & Claremont Road. All donation based. Please bring your own mat. Booking is essential. Bring drinks & nibbles for after if you wish.
09.30am: Yoga class for Beginners (1hr)
11.00am: Yoga for Non Beginners (1hr)
12pm: Pause, Breathe, Meditate (30min)
2021 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Yoga or Somatics workshops are a fantastic way to take time to focus on more specific aspects to refine our practice. It is also a work of exploration enabling us to appreciate how our breath, body and mind come together to bring us harmony.
REST & RESTORE ! TIME TO NURTURE YOURSELF
An invitation to slow down, rest and recharge your batteries to leave you feeling restored & refreshed. It is an act of self love to nurture yourself at this time of the year. Nature is showing us the way to slow down. Let's follow nature and tune in to the season. As a yoga Somatics teacher, I wish to create a safe, supportive space to nourish yourself. You will leave feeling , calm, relaxed yet energised.
A mix of blissful Somatics to slow down and melt those tensions away, soothing self-massage, restorative yoga, and mindful meditation. Stay afterwards for a natter with your favourite cup of tea or coffee & maybe a tasty treat. Let's connect and welcome the new year with self-love.
Pls note we will use props: yoga mat, blanket, cushion, chair, bolster or big pillow, 2 blocs.

WELCOMING THE DAY WITH YOGA !
Perfect way to start your day: After a gentle warm up, the focus is on breath, breaking down each step of the sun salutation, getting in a flow to get some heat in the body, shifting the energy for a feel good factor. We will add a few detox yoga poses leaving you open, stretched and refreshed. Great workout !

VAGUS NERVE: BOOST YOUR HEALTH & HAPPINESS !
Due to success of this workshop, this is a repeat. The transformation was awesome. Everyone loved it. Deeply soothing and calming for the whole body. Deeply embedded in our nervous system, we will explore simple techniques to access the Vagus nerve to help us unwind and let go. Rebalance, Relax, Recharge body & mind. A mix of chanting, breathing and somatics. This has wonderful health benefits: lower inflammation and blood pressure, reduced anxiety, pure harmony for your body & mind.

Bring the sunshine into your practice ! Best way to relax and awaken body & mind. The focus is on opening our heart as well as our spine, chest, back and shoulders. A blend of yoga and somaticflow to open our heart chakra, a well of love , warmth, compassion and joy.
The heart chakra, Anahata, is the bridge connecting the first 3 chakras relating to the external world to the 3 higher chakras associated with intuition & spirituality. The heart is the bridge between body and spirit. It is about unity. It represents transformation and love energy. The associated colour is green. If imbalanced, you might experience anger, grief, hatred, jealousy, loneliness, an inability to show empathy or trust others. Opening the heart is the start of a healing process. It is an act of love for ourselves.
This practice will include some breathing practice, some mantra, positive affirmations, a series of poses to lengthen and open our bodies, some backbends and twists to mobilise, open, stretch, decompress and strengthen ourselves ready for spring. Feel the energy ! As good as a double expresso.
